Accepting Islam Doesn’t Guarantee Freedom for Captive Non-Muslims

❖ Important Clarifications​


A disbelieving captive accepting Islam does not make his release obligatory. Rather, he shall remain in captivity.

❀ It is permissible for the ruling authority to refrain from accepting the Islam of such a person if it is suspected that he has no genuine inclination towards Islam and is merely doing so out of necessity.
