Twenty-second Doubt: Objectionable Ahadith of Sahih Bukhari
Under this title, Mr. Parvez has only quoted the Urdu translation of forty hadiths from Tulu-e-Islam and has considered them objectionable. He has objected to these hadiths on the basis of reason and science or because he believes that these hadiths tarnish the character of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), or that these hadiths contradict the Quran, or that they contain something inappropriate about Allah Almighty. Then he wrote that there are many other such hadiths which cannot be from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Out of these hadiths, only one is from Muslim and the remaining 39 are from Sahih Bukhari.
The answer to this accusation is that out of 7275 hadiths in Sahih Bukhari, only 39 are objected to, so why do they not accept the thousands of other hadiths? It is not the work of any Muslim, let alone a person with ordinary understanding, to ridicule the entire collection of hadiths because of just a few hadiths. The reality is that they did not understand these forty hadiths; otherwise, there is nothing objectionable in them.
