This excerpt is taken from the book compiled by Hakim Ajmal Khan Sahib "Recognize Jamaat-e-Islami" .
By: Sufi Nazir Ahmad Kashmiri
Last year, the author published a book titled "The Reality of Religion, Renewal of Religion, and Uniqueness of Jurisprudence in Religion," in which the differences among these three were clarified. Since the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami has attempted to organize the foundation and branches of religion according to the model of the contemporary communist (TOTALITARIAN STATE), as a result, every component of religion has lost its place and significance and has become something else, the author summarized this comprehensive distortion of religion in this book and also provided necessary criticism of it. The author invited this group and its founder to reflect on their religion and its reversed arrangement in light of this criticism. It was hoped that Jamaat-e-Islami and its founder would acknowledge their intellectual error and unconditionally accept the original religion anew, thereby closing the door to the reconstruction of religion. Like Jamaat-e-Islami, numerous sects have also emerged within the Muslim Ummah over the past two hundred years, and they have tried to establish their own independent status outside the Ummah.
Islam, unlike previous religions, is not a religion hidden in riddles, proverbs, metaphors, allusions, symbols, and euphemisms that require new commentators and theologians in every changing environment to continuously reinterpret the religion according to altered circumstances. It is one thing to oppose the religion, to amend and revise the environment, and to prune it according to the unchanging and eternal principles of the religion; this is part of the continuous jihad in the way of Allah and the continuity of the renewal of the religion. The other thing is to try to change the religion itself according to the changing environment; this is the distortion of the religion.
Islam is a religion of clear and decisive principles, which has presented each principle of the religion in such a clear form that it can be equally understood by both the general public and the elite. To clarify this aspect of Islam, the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said that Islam is [ملة سهلة سمحة بيضاء] (this is an easy, courteous, and clear nation). A world-renowned European author (Spengler) in his famous book (DECLINE OF THE WEST) attributed the universal acceptance of Islam to this very clarity and comprehensibility, and he denied that Islam spread by the sword. Then the Holy Prophet established a practical exemplary model of this religion, and every letter of it has been preserved in such a way that there is now no room for new interpretations and explanations in the new circumstances of this religion; now only the path of following (obedience) remains open.
[لو كان موسى حيا ما وسعه إلا اتباعي]
If Moses were alive, he would have no option but to follow me.
Reference: Musnad Ahmad:15156
Following means adhering to a fixed practical model.
It is not the name of wandering behind unknown worlds of undefined essence; following means walking on a fixed path.
Undoubtedly, in every era, new social and economic questions will continue to arise for human society. Therefore, the universe of water and clay in which we are journeying through life is not unchanging, eternal, and vivid like the fundamentals of religion; it is a world of change and revolution. Hence, it is a natural reality that new questions arise concerning the aspects of human life related to this world of change and revolution, and it is the duty of the scholars of the community to provide answers to these questions. However, to derive from this or create the allowance that, in light of these matters and subsidiary questions, the entire unchanging foundations of religion and faith should be given new and newer interpretations and explanations, as is the mindset of the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami, is entirely false. This approach turns the unchanging and certainty-inducing foundations of religion into sophistry and closes the threads of certainty, faith, and acknowledgment. The people of the previous religions did the same. And Jamaat-e-Islami and its founder are doing something similar with the religion of clear proofs and firm foundations. In previous religions, there was some allowance for this to some extent because their style of expression was through symbols, allusions, hints, and metaphors. But when the true religion was presented in its complete form as clear proofs and firm foundations, and the practical exemplary model of the Seal of the Prophets also gave it a defined form through his actions, and Allah Almighty preserved this entire treasure forever against all satanic and dishonest acts, and along with that, [لا تزال طائفة من امتي ظاهرين على الحق] made it preserved as a transmitted practice, then now to find allowance for new and newer interpretations and explanations of the entire religion for every new era is absolutely satanic misguidance, concealment of the truth, distortion of religion, and hiding of the true religion.
The founder of Jamaat-e-Islami, by equating the unanimous, united, and unaltered religion of all the Prophets to the current era's collective state, and by removing the Ummah of Islam from the eternal and unaltered religion, has started an attempt to mislead it like previous nations and to lead it onto the paths of division and discord ("Sabil-e-Mutafarriqah"), which is complete misguidance. Then, by declaring the same day as an indivisible whole, he also announced that "this religion must either be accepted in its entirety or rejected in its entirety. There is no third way." Along with this, openly challenging the Ummah of Islam on stage, he also said that rejecting this specific interpretation and form of religion will result in Allah Almighty consigning it to the punishment of humiliation and disgrace, like the wrath of the Jews.

However, in contrast to the above distortions, the unanimous method of the scholars of Sunnah and Athar has continuously worked effectively to restore the purity, cleanliness, and simplicity of the outward and inward aspects of the Ummah, and their approach continues consistently.
Some Questions:
Is the oneness of God, prayer, fasting, zakat, Hajj, belief in the Hereafter, belief in the Prophethood, belief in the angels, and all moral values not as well-known and recognized today as they were during the time of the Prophet, the Companions, the Followers, and the Followers of the Followers? Are these not the unchanging principles of religion that have been unanimously accepted as obligations by not only the scholars of the Ummah but the Ummah itself in every era, and will continue to be accepted until ان شاء اللہ the Day of Judgment? The truth is that Islam is a religion of clear and firm principles whose foundations and practical exemplary conduct will never be lost. Although countless people of the world and deceivers have always continued their tireless efforts to obscure and alter them through doubt, belittlement, and distortion. Today, it is a known fact to all that the majority of the Ummah, in the name of religion and with religious devotion, has become entangled in innovations, yet even during a widespread epidemic, ninety percent would be unaware of the obligation of prayer, fasting, Hajj, zakat, and resurrection. Therefore, this religion of clear principles, firm foundations, and human nature does not require nor allow for new commentators. What is only needed is that there be no difference in the clarity and explicitness of its principles and fundamentals, and that a steadfast group is always present to keep the Ummah practicing them.
Reference: Surah Al-Imran:104
Central Question:
Now the main question is, in the presence of the above-mentioned manifest truths, which religion is it that the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami rediscovered and refined, renewed faith in, and then after learning its details and being satisfied with it, invited the Muslim Ummah itself to accept and turn towards it. This invitation was by no means an invitation to adhere to the fundamentals of religion. Rather, this invitation excluded all the fundamentals and principles of religion from the Ummah’s resolution of objectives and gave them the status of mere means for the government of Cairo, declaring that if these principles work separately from the sole goal of establishing government, then they will have no reward from Allah.
Reference: (Tajdeed wa Ihya-e-Deen: p. 24), (Rudad-e-Jamaat-e-Islami: Part Three p. 34)
Their claim that there was no guidance for them in the traditional and inherited religion of the Ummah, and therefore they had to ignore this traditional and inherited treasury and discover religion by themselves, is false. Consider carefully what has been stated above regarding the expression and manifestation of all fundamentals and principles of religion and the manifest world, and declare the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami’s claim to be incorrect.
Islam is not only a religion of the apparent and the manifest world in the sense that its foundational book and its practical exemplary model are the most preserved records in the history of religion and faith, but regarding its practical continuity and the continuous practice, the Seal of the Prophets has also declared, thereby blocking the path of all deceivers, fabricators, distorters, and doubters, that
[لا تزال طائفة من أمتي ظاهرين على الحق، لا يضرهم من خذلهم]
A group of my nation will always remain steadfast on the truth.
Reference: (Sahih Muslim:1920)
[لا تجتمع أمتي على الضلالة] My nation will never gather upon misguidance.
Reference: (Jami` at-Tirmidhi:2167)
The entire foundational record of the religion and its complete practical exemplary model are preserved, and a group clearly manifesting the truth and following it exists; all its principles and fundamentals are as clear as the sun and moon. In the presence of all these facts, if a person declares that he has found no trace of truth in the inherited and traditional religion, and therefore, by relying on himself, the Book, and the Sunnah, he discovered the religion and began inviting others to this religion, what else can this be except the deception of Satan?
Here, another statement of the founder of the Jamaat is quoted so that there remains no doubt regarding their falsehood.
"At this moment, I want to say very clearly that such a call as ours arises in a Muslim nation and puts it through a severe test as long as some scattered elements of truth appear mixed with falsehood. For a Muslim nation, there remains a reasonable excuse not to accept it and not to support it, and this excuse continues to be accepted. But when the whole truth is unveiled and presented in its pure form before it, and the nation claiming Islam is invited towards it, then it becomes inevitable for it either to support it and stand up to perform this service which is the sole purpose of the birth of the Muslim Ummah, or else reject it and adopt the same position that the Jewish nation had taken before. In this case, no third path remains open for it besides these two ways."
Reference: (Rudad-e-Jamaat-e-Islami: Part Two, p. 17)
Important Point:
What has been clarified in the statement of the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami is that until now, Islamic invitations have been carried out with a mixture of truth and falsehood, so the Muslim Ummah, by rejecting them, was saved from being influenced by عند اللہ. But the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami has exposed the truth in such a way that it cannot be called anything other than pure religion. Therefore, if the Muslim Ummah rejects it, its end will be like that of the Jews. After this statement, a few lines are written that seem to protect their prophecy from being false, but then with full clarity, they add the following explanatory note:
"Now that this invitation has arisen in India, the dangerous moment of trial has come for Indian Muslims. As for Muslims of other countries, we are preparing to deliver our invitation to them. If we succeed in this effort, wherever it reaches, the Muslims there will also face this trial."
Reference: (Rudad-e-Jamaat-e-Islami: Part Two, p. 18)
They ignore the religion of clear proofs and firm principles, its manifest scholar and exemplary model, and all its rules and foundations, declaring them vague and meaningless, and present their false claims before the Muslim Ummah that it must either accept them or stand in the court of the Jews awaiting divine punishment; there is no other path open except these two.
Now, the writer presents the response to this claim before the founder of this fabricated religion and its followers, and it is:
[اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ فَتَنُوا الۡمُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ وَ الۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمۡ یَتُوۡبُوۡا فَلَہُمۡ عَذَابُ جَہَنَّمَ وَ لَہُمۡ عَذَابُ الۡحَرِیۡقِ]
Indeed, those who have put the believing men and believing women to trial and have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and it is the burning fire.
Reference: Surah Al-Burooj:10
Which the Holy Quran has explained, the One God who has preserved all the principles and evidences of the true religion forever and has also appointed a "ظاہرین علی الحق" group to practically keep it alive and implement it until the Day of Judgment. To discard this entire system as a hereditary and traditional religion and, in the name of religion itself, to gather some imaginative revelations and invite the Ummah and the human world towards them is nothing but opposition to the Messenger and following a path other than that of the believers. Just as you revived your falsehood by naming it the pure religion and inviting towards it, now, by presenting a summary of all the clear and decisive principles of the religion before you, the clear proof of Allah Almighty is fulfilled. Therefore, according to Allah and the Sunnah of the forefathers, [رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْلَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ] and [لَّاۤ اِلٰہَ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡتَ سُبۡحٰنَکَ ٭ۖ اِنِّیۡ کُنۡتُ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِیۡنَ] say, and repenting from self-created falsehood, adhere to the original religion, the apparent and external religion, which is agreed upon by all scholars, righteous people, and indeed the entire Ummah. Undoubtedly, there has been a great degree of weakness and dissolution in the Ummah’s practice of adherence to this religion, and the only remedy is to make the Ummah of Islam act upon all the established principles of religion and nation. It is not to create some new kinds of riddles, metaphors, symbols, and allusions in the name of religion, and to continuously produce new interpretations of them, weaving an unbreakable web of fallacies. And to call this the “original, true, and unveiled” religion.
An Incident:
This is an incident from many years ago when I read a book called PLATOSCRITRIM OF LIFE. The author of the book claimed that Plato is the divine eternal guide for all humanity, but it is necessary to understand the spirit of his thought in every era and reinterpret it anew. The founder of Jamaat-e-Islami seems to have a similar view regarding Islam. His claim is that he wants to establish Islam as it is, but his practice is that he casts a thick veil over all its established truths and interprets it in such a way that it feels like a collection of corrupt imaginations. Then, the more someone’s connection with it strengthens, the more they become indifferent to the clear and firm principles of religion, and rightly so, because now these clear, firm, and unchangeable religious principles have been excluded from the resolution of objectives in their book of religion and relegated to the category of means and methods.
The owner of the house was the host to the guest.
He was the owner of the house, but I gave him the status of a guest.
The apostasy of the Qadiani leader from the Ummah and religion was complete when their second caliph held a general meeting of the Jamaat in 1913 and declared that anyone who does not unconditionally accept the claims of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani is outside the fold of Islam. After this claim by the Qadiani group, it began to seem as if Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and his companions, may Allah protect us, were merely litigants, and the center of prophethood was established later, and that was Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani:
I am the Messiah of God and I am the Word of God // I am Muhammad and Ahmad, the Chosen One
Reference: Malfoozat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani
On this occasion, I remember an incident from the year 1913, when the late Dr. Iqbal, while giving a lecture on "The Social System of Islam" at Aligarh Muslim College, expressed that if any sect is effectively serving Islam today, it is the Qadiani sect. Or when the harms of this sect became apparent, it was this same nation-loving poet who, after twenty years in 1933, launched a campaign declaring Qadianism outside the fold of Islam, and Allah Almighty granted him success in this campaign.
Benefit:
External utility is a shadow that changes constantly in every time and environment, and it can never be made like the unchanging and eternal principles of religion. If any group does this, it immediately goes outside the fold of religion and enters the realm of deception and confusion. Therefore, making this utility the basis of invitation is forbidden.
Only the unchanging clear and decisive principles of religion are the basis of invitation. These are the eternal foundations to which one must continue to invite in every environment and era; this is the entire reality of امر بالمعروف و نہی عن المنکر. These foundations constantly empower the religion, keep it stable and enduring, and for this mission, every Muslim individual is appointed by Allah according to their capacity and ability.
You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong.
Reference: Surah Al-Imran:110
Now, restoring your power of judgment, all the scholars of the nation and the righteous of the Ummah must decide whether Jamaat-e-Islami and its founders are the advocates of the fundamentals of religion and the unity of religion and Ummah, or whether they are a new sect within the nation spreading various divisions, adopting new colors and forms on every new front, engaged in a campaign of doubts, suspicions, and division in religion.
The example of the evil word is like the example of an evil tree, which is visible above the ground but has no stable foundation. Allah keeps the believers firm with the firm word (unchanging principles and fundamentals of religion) in this world and the Hereafter, and leads the wrongdoers astray. Allah does what He wills.

The entire spirit of Islam is the sovereignty of the One and Almighty God.
Reference: (Tajdeed wa Ihya-e-Deen: p. 30)
This belief is absolutely the product of the modern totalitarian state, which has no connection with religion; rather, this entire concept emerged from Europe’s running of its collective affairs on the foundations of secularism. This secular concept of the state in Europe, which is based on the state’s domination, is founded on the complete negation of religion. It is the most perfect manifestation of uncompromising secularism in human history to date. The founder of Jamaat-e-Islami declared this perfect manifestation of secularism in the modern era—that is, the totalitarian state—as synonymous with religion and devised a shariah apparatus for it. In this, he also included some elements of the personal law of the Book of religion so that believers in religion could be convinced. But in reality, it is a worshiper of the domination of the state. By declaring the modern totalitarian state as synonymous with religion and proclaiming the sovereignty of the One and Almighty God as the spirit of his fabricated Islam, he has cut off from the history of humankind and aligned himself with the atheistic thinkers of the present era.
In his book Tajdeed wa Ihya-e-Deen, at the point where he mentions the atheistic thinkers of modern Europe and lists the names of two dozen atheists to show how they gave birth to various schools of thought and brought the world from one place to another, he becomes a symbol of despair and hopelessness and says that this work could not be done by Muslim nations and they fell into the pit of failure. Now he is thinking of performing this service himself, and to prepare for it, he has changed all the fundamental principles and true meanings of religion. Because until Muslim nations change their foundational thinking like the European atheists, they too cannot establish their superiority over the non-Muslim nations of the world. Therefore, it is right to say that his propaganda of working on the method of the Prophets is completely deceptive. In reality, his models are free and atheistic thinkers who have presented the universe as a logical system from various perspectives.
The writer does not want to involve the scholars of the Ummah in this confusion, as it would be against the religious purpose, but he requests every religious student to memorize two statements of this person:
First, that the word religion in its true meaning is synonymous with the modern totalitarian and dominating state.
Second, that according to him, the entire spirit of Islam is the sovereignty of the One and Almighty God.
In other words, the One and Almighty God’s religion for humankind is the totalitarian state; the civilization and society that will emerge later will be a manifestation of divine wrath in civilization and society. Under this system of thought, nothing else is possible.
The thing that has preserved the principles of religion and the perfect example of the Seal of the Prophets with clarity, simplicity, and general understanding despite more than thirteen hundred years of spiritual, theological, and political turmoil is the following public declaration of the Master of the Universe, which is still recited collectively from all mosques and pulpits today.
[ألا إن خير الحديث كتاب الله وخير الهدي هدي محمد وشر الأمور محدثاتها وكل محدثة بدعة وكل بدعة ضلالة وكل ضلالة في النار]
This authentic sermon has gathered all goodness and welfare affirmatively in the Book of Allah and the example of Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, while limiting all evil and corruption to newly emerging customs in the name of religion. It is a fact that whenever the scholars of the Muslim Ummah have fully accepted these defined limits of religion set by the Seal of the Prophets with full responsibility and taken up the task of reforming the global community, that day will mark the successful beginning of universal human unity beyond the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
After the defeat of Jamaat-e-Islami in the Pakistani elections, the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami presented this justification for their defeat that during the elections, the scholars and elders accused the Jamaat and spread the slander among the public that if this Jamaat succeeds, then like the Wahhabis of Najd and Hijaz, it will abolish all the rituals of Urs, Qawwali, Vishb-e-Baraat, and Shab-e-Miraj. It will demolish high graves and domes. The founder of Jamaat-e-Islami declared that all these things were slanders against the Jamaat. He further revealed that in their Jamaat there are people of the categories of Ahl-e-Bid'at (people of innovation), Ahl-e-Sunnat (people of tradition), and Athar (followers of customs), and the condition on them is that after entering the Jamaat, they cannot discuss matters of Bid'at and Sunnat with each other. They will be free to follow their own sects but do not have the right to persuade each other through dialogue.
In reality, this restriction was on Ahl-e-Sunnat and Athar, meaning that now the time has come to set aside the distinction between Sunnat and Bid'at and seize political power. Therefore, the entire purpose of religion is this, since it had equated the production of religion with the state. Hence, the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami’s declaration was exactly in accordance with this. You can call those who equate religion with the overwhelming power of the state liars, and this is correct because among all the Prophets, Siddiqeen, martyrs, and pious people, at least ninety-five out of a hundred never had the opportunity to establish a universal or absolute state. Therefore, equating a comprehensive state with religion leaves no option but to consider all those Prophets, Siddiqeen, martyrs, and pious people as the most unsuccessful group in achieving the true purpose. Hence, the group that claims the entire purpose of religion is the attainment of supreme political power must be considered a group of liars. But if you accept them as correct in their primary objective, then for the achievement of this objective, they can treat all the established religious rituals as they deem necessary from time to time.
An Example:
They are, in reality, the sum of all the changes and contradictions of the present material civilization, whose most perfect manifestation is the all-encompassing state of the present era, and which the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami ”الدین الکامل“ has declared as the ultimate seal, interpreting the entire book of religion on this assumption. It is a complete historical reaction to the inward civilizations of the past. The most prominent characteristic of the inward civilizations was stagnation and immobility, whereas the characteristic of the present material civilization is continuous movement and skyward aspiration.
It is impossible for stability to exist in the workshop of nature; stability is a form of change. This civilization has no lasting foundation in the world; its religion is modernity (MODERNITY). In political language, it is called opportunism, changing colors and hearts, and in our context, its special expert is the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami and his group. And since they are staging this drama on the land of religion, where the entire foundation of religion and moral and spiritual values are permanent and eternal, therefore, rebuke, disgrace, and failure are their destiny and will be so. There is no room for doubt in this.
O Prophet, direct your entire being with complete focus towards religion. This is the human nature upon which Allah the Exalted created mankind, which is unchangeable and which alone is the true religion, but many people (including all logicians, all philosophers, and all those free thinkers whose grasp is not on moral and spiritual immutable values) do not recognize it.
Reference: Surah Ar-Rum:30
The founder of Jamaat-e-Islami, in his book "Tajdeed wa Ihya-e-Deen," mentions these atheist thinkers by name and, in a tone filled with despair and hopelessness, exclaims that it was precisely the rise of free thought and schools of thought in the West that formed the foundation of all Western achievements, and unfortunately, this could not be accomplished by the Muslims. By denying or ignoring the sustainable foundations of human society, the intellectual and practical movement that emerged in Europe over the past few centuries is the result of this. The current Western civilization is in a constant state of conflict from head to toe, and mind to heart. This baselessness and conflict continuously threaten to uproot it at any moment. The founder of Jamaat-e-Islami has provided a religious interpretation of this baseless and ever-changing civilization, and from head to toe, it has become a symbol of the worst kind of hypocrisy. Undoubtedly, the writings of the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami repeatedly mention prayer, fasting, zakat, and Hajj, but in their system of thought, these are not placed in the list of objectives (maqasid) but rather in the list of means of religion. For them, the only significance of prayer is that it creates a state of focused tranquility which aids in the establishment of governance.
Reference: (How the Islamic Government was Established: p. 36)
If these central religious rituals (which in Jamaat's religion are only listed as means) do not have a conscious connection with the struggle for establishing governance, then in the sight of Allah, they have no reward.
Reference: (Rudad-e-Jamaat-e-Islami: Part Three p. 32)
The fundamental intellectual and atheistic distortion of the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami is that he equated religion with the total state and determined the value and significance of all other principles, fundamentals, and rituals of religion in the light of this religion-as-state concept. By giving all true objectives the status of means and the distant means the status of objectives, he disrupted the entire structure of the book of religion and scattered its pages.
State:
If the state has any status in the Book of Religion, it is only to the extent that it serves as an external refuge or fortress for the religious society. In history, thousands, even millions, of Prophets, Truthful Ones, Martyrs, and Righteous people have passed who never had the opportunity to make this city of refuge, yet they were undoubtedly regarded as reformers of humanity. In the world, millions of tyrants and oppressors have passed who established large and organized states, but there is no possibility of counting them among the reformers of humanity. Therefore, if the state were a central component of religion, then God forbid, the Prophets and Truthful Ones would be considered failures in history, and the tyrants of history would be regarded as a successful group. Hence, in general, the state can be counted among the secondary means of religion, but to call it the center of religion or the entirety of religion, as the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami has done and as the group accepting his personally discovered religion is doing, is absolutely irreligious. And to present it as the way of the Prophets is a deception. They are leading the Ummah and humanity into a disastrous mirage in the name of religion and pure life. They are turning a simple, clear religion, understandable to all common and special people, into a complicated idea and committing a great betrayal and treason against the history of religion. Ignoring the Companions, the Followers, the Followers of the Followers, and all the established righteous principles, they are reconnecting religion to the ignorance of the Arabs through verbal disputes, and on the other hand, by eliminating the distinction between Sunnah and Bid’ah, they are reviving all the pagan customs and innovations of history. By declaring that religion is an indivisible whole which must be either wholly accepted or wholly rejected, they are robbing the path of the true preachers and denying [بلغوا عني ولو آية].
Now, at this point, I find it necessary to draw attention to the initial claim of the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami. Its summary is that there was a time when he himself followed a racial and traditional religion. Then, when he became aware, he realized that it was merely an imitation of ancestral customs. After that, he began to reflect on the Book and Sunnah by himself and discovered the reality of religion. He believed in it himself, then understood the detailed system of religion, and when he was satisfied with this status, he began inviting others towards his self-discovered religious system.
It is nothing but lies and slander that traditional and ethnic religion was nothing more than a herd mentality of ancestral customs. Faith in Allah, faith in the Hereafter, faith in the Prophethood, faith in the angels, faith in the scriptures, and prayer, fasting, zakat, and Hajj, along with all moral principles and values, were well-known indigenous realities at that time, just as they were in the era of the Prophet, the Companions, the Followers, and the Followers of the Followers, and every letter of it was preserved. As for the practical continuity of religion, the reality is that it will continue through the righteous of the Ummah until the Day of Judgment. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, and it is preserved with complete authenticity, that [لا تزال طائفة من أمتي ظاهرين على الحق، لا يضرهم من خذلهم] a group of my Ummah will always remain steadfast on the truth with full manifestation, and no person or group who distances themselves from them will be able to harm them.
With this traditional protection and practical continuity, anyone claiming that they gained nothing from traditional and ethnic religion is falsely accusing the Book of Religion and the continuity of religion, which can shake the faith of millions after thousands. Whoever wants to pay attention to religion for their guidance will find it an undeniable collection of clear and decisive matters. And whoever does not have faith and practical steadfastness but wants to see and present religion as a logical system is undoubtedly an enemy of the Sunnah of the Prophets, even if they repeat the slogan of following the Prophets day and night. Rather, they want to divert people's attention from the true followers and impose their own delusions and superstitions on them, just as Samiri did in the absence of Prophet Moses. The founder of Jamaat-e-Islami presents perfect faith in general and weak faith, perfect Islam in general, and the limits of minimal Islam, demolishing religion as a logical whole, and those who do not appear to meet this false standard are labeled the worst hypocrites and invited to conform to his imaginations; otherwise, they are given the status of the accursed Jews and completely excluded from the circle of religion and the Ummah, so that they remain as witnesses over humanity as God's proof.
Indeed, whoever does evil and his evil encompasses him - those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.

These people sit under the tent of the state's tyranny and engage in exactly that collective hypocrisy which no word can fully describe except Machiavellianism. After attaining the status of annihilation in this tyranny and collective hypocrisy, this group has become as far from the mercy of God as the accursed Iblis claimed before God to be able to lead humanity astray, to which Allah replied, "You will have no power over My servants."
The founder of Jamaat-e-Islami gave a lecture in 1941 at Muslim University Aligarh titled "How Islamic Government is Established." This was the time when the Muslim League, rejecting the principle of united nationality of Congress, had gathered all Muslims of India, especially their educated groups, under its banner. That year, the Muslim League declared the establishment of Pakistan as the sole objective of the Muslims of India, and the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami was troubled by this Muslim unity. It is not known since when they had been hoping to spread their false ideas among Muslims in the name of Islam, and when they saw that a strong organization had been formed in the name of Islam, they became ready to destroy it. Their open declaration was that if such a country were formed, it would be more harmful to Islam than the rule of infidels.

In this lecture, he declared that Islamic government is established only by the method of the Prophets and, summarizing the Meccan life of the Seal of the Prophets, presented the Medinan life as a logical consequence and said that this is the only way to establish an Islamic government.
He did not even hint that a prophet does not have a fixed plan like a philosopher, but Allah Almighty, without his desire and effort, selects him to present His message to the world, and his audience is commanded to personally listen to and obey him. From this personal listening and obedience, a nation comes into existence. But for the reformers and renewers of the second degree of nations, this part of nation-building is absolutely not permissible. They are by no means authorized to invite to their personal listening and obedience. They are by no means authorized to create a nation. At most, they are authorized to renew and lead.
The first renewer of the Islamic nation, Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him), did exactly this: with the consultation of the righteous of the nation, he made a successful effort to restore the Islamic society to the state it had during the era of the Rightly Guided Caliphs. The extent of his success is hardly matched in history.
But the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami, in the same lecture, labeled Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz as a "faulty" individual and called him a failed man. He refrained from using the word "faulty" explicitly, only calling him a "failed man," although the success he achieved as a ruler in two and a half years has no parallel in the pages of history. Therefore, calling him a failure is merely a misrepresentation. However, the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami wanted to imply that Umar bin Abdul Aziz was a "wrongdoer" because he did not follow the Meccan life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the part of nation-building.
This person, in his excesses, deficiencies, and envy, was denying the established truths of history and thus, by adopting personal listening and obedience for non-prophetic individuals, was opening the way for division in the nation and religion. Because later on, he himself was going to present his personal fabrications to people under the name "Al-Din Al-Kamil" (The Complete Religion) and invite the world to listen and obey it, preparing a fabricated structure for the falsehoods of his entire life.
Since from 1941 (when he gave this lecture) to 1945, Pakistan had moved beyond just an ideal and was close to becoming a material reality, he held the last meeting of his Jamaat in India. This meeting lasted three days. Its entire purpose was to wash away the previous foundational stance from the minds of the Jamaat and give them a new and achievable goal.
At the end of the three days of brainwashing, he gave a detailed lecture titled "The Moral Foundations of the Islamic Movement."
From the title, it seems he wanted to present a clear outline of true religious ethics to the Jamaat so that the Jamaat would not become baseless and go astray. But in reality, he was discarding the religious book Al-Akhlaq and opening the path of Machiavellian social hypocrisy. In the coming circumstances, by adhering to religious ethics, they could neither fulfill any plan nor even survive. Therefore, under this misleading title, they were clearing the way to replace religious ethics with Machiavellianism. Hence, after three days of brainwashing, in the final meeting, he declared that his and his Jamaat’s purpose from the beginning had been the establishment of righteous leadership in the nation. There is no hint in this lecture of the previous claim of nation-building and following the prophetic Meccan life. Nor is there any indication of adopting the model of righteous leadership of Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him). Rather, without admitting guilt, they were adopting the previous stance. This morality was the open and clear beginning of Machiavellianism and the first step away from religious ethics towards expediency.
If the upper structure of their religion is the absolute state of the Compeller and the Subduer, which they have equated with religion, then the spirit of their religion (which, God forbid, they consider the spirit of Islam) is the sovereignty of the One God, the Subduer,

. How long can they dance on the rope tied between these two pillars of the wrath of God's compulsion? The image of the last renewer of the Ummah drawn by the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami is this:

that he will have ijtihadi mastery over all the sciences, arts, and sciences of his time, and he will be a very modern person to such an extent that it is quite possible that all the scholars and Sufis of his time will oppose him. He will be a conqueror of the world, utilizing his organizational skills and all external means comprehensively. Mystical insights, miracles, and open heavenly proofs and supports will have no effect in his case. Now at this point, look while keeping the appearance of the Seal of the Prophets and his companions in front of you. This appearance is described in two words in the Holy Quran: ”نبی امی“ and ”امۃ امتیون“. In other words, this imam, imagined by the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami, will be the complete opposite of the Seal of the Prophets and his Ummah, and his entire reliance will be on the organization of means, not on prayer, supplication, and the Qunoot-e-Nazilah.
His most prominent characteristic will be that he will be the founder of a new school of thought. The Quran, the example of the Seal of the Prophets, and the example of the companions of the Prophet are not a significant school of thought that Jamaat-e-Islami considers sufficient for human welfare to adhere to and practice. This person has no belief in anything called religion; like the modern European atheist, he advocates constantly creating new and fresh systems of thought and experimenting with them anew. This is his concept of the perfect religion. He is:
The example of an evil religion is like a bad tree which is visible above the ground but has no stability.

He embodies this. He acts out all possible forms of satanic whispers successfully like Abu Zaid Saruji and, receiving applause from the public at every opportunity, moves on to the next stage.
Those who have become accustomed to understanding religion as an intellectual system rather than through religious faith and righteousness. ان شاء اللہ In this brief statement, there is sufficient provision to satisfy them and to voluntarily confine themselves within the limits set by God, and for those whose aim is mental indulgence and curiosity, the Quran declares:
[وَ مَا تُغۡنِی الۡاٰیٰتُ وَ النُّذُرُ عَنۡ قَوۡمٍ لَّا یُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ]
For a people who do not possess the wealth of faith, the signs of the earth and the heavens and the warnings and admonitions of the prophets benefit them not.
Reference: Surah Yunus:101
Those who possess the wealth of faith perceive this universe, which extends over incomprehensible vastness, as a factory of wisdom and management reflecting God's mercy and justice, while those deprived of the wealth of faith perceive this same universe as a burning desert of death and despair; instead of harmony, they sense an eternal conflict of opposites within it.
The current secular Western thought, which has built a civilization free from religious tradition, is founded on this very concept of the conflict of opposites in the universe. In it, there is no trace of peace, security, cooperation, or mutual goodwill. The effect of this secular thought and secular civilization on Muslim society is clearly exemplified by Maududi's ideology, which considers it not only permissible but necessary at times to break all moral standards and distort everything in order to seize political power or to partake in despair. And there is absolutely no place in this movement for a dry cleric who maintains consistency between outward and inward, and who does not know the art of changing heart, changing color, and opportunism.
Summary:
The summary of the religion of this group is that the fundamental introduction of their God is the sovereignty of the One, the Subduer. The central meaning of their religion is that it is the subduing government. The spirit that flows through every vein of this government as the life-blood is the spirit of the sovereignty of the One, the Subduer, and its perfect manifestation is the subduing state. After accepting this concept of the universe and its Creator, all those principles and fundamentals of the book of religion that hold a central and key position in the resolution of objectives in the book of religion, such as prayer, fasting, zakat, and Hajj, and all unchangeable moral and spiritual values, are excluded from the resolution of objectives and come under the list of means. They are given the status of mere maintenance. This is a matter of religious world cleansing; otherwise, there is no place for these things in the religion of these people (the subduing state). Because the means of establishing the subduing state is merely organization and revolution. Dragging down the heavenly original things like prayer, fasting, zakat, and Hajj is merely growth, display, and hypocrisy. In their literature, you will find excessive repetition of words like movement, system, revolution, but all religious means such as warning and glad tidings, intimidation and encouragement, preaching and reminding, advice, sincerity, and truthfulness will be rarely found. Whereas these are the only means to awaken human moral nature, to train it, and to bring it to the perfection of destiny. This moral nature can be suppressed by compulsion, force, and coercion, but it cannot be nurtured.
