A Research Review of the Traditions Regarding the Earth Swallowing the Excreta of the Holy Prophet ﷺ

This excerpt is taken from Sheikh Ghulam Mustafa Zaheer Amanpuri's book The Shariah Status of Blessings.

Did the earth swallow the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ's excrements?

There is no authentic evidence that the earth swallowed the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ's excrements.

It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her):

When the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ went to the toilet, I would enter afterward, but I would not see anything (of urine or feces) there; however, I would sense a fragrance. I mentioned this to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: Aisha! You do not know! Our (Prophets') bodies are nourished by the souls of Paradise, and whatever comes out of these bodies, the earth swallows it.
