10. Those who wrongfully consume the wealth of orphans are only filling their bellies with fire [16], and soon they will enter a blazing Hell.
[16] Consuming the Wealth of an Orphan is a Major Sin:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Avoid the seven destructive sins." The Companions asked, "What are they?" He said, "Associating partners with Allah, sorcery, killing a soul which Allah has forbidden except by right, consuming usury, consuming the wealth of an orphan, fleeing from the battlefield, and slandering chaste, innocent, believing women." [بخاری۔ کتاب الوصایا۔ باب __QUR_0__ مسلم، کتاب الایمان۔ باب بیان الکبائر وأکبرھا] Also, while narrating the incident of Mi'raj, he said: I saw some people whose lips were like those of camels, and an angel would open their lips and throw burning coals into their mouths, which would come out from their behinds, and they would scream and wail in pain. Then the angel would again put the coals into their mouths, and this punishment was continuous for them. I asked Jibreel ؑ, "Who are these people?" Jibreel ؑ replied, "These are the people who used to wrongfully consume the wealth of orphans."
