Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 56) ➊ { لَا يَذُوْقُوْنَ فِيْهَا الْمَوْتَ اِلَّا الْمَوْتَةَ الْاُوْلٰى:} It is narrated from Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: [ يُؤْتٰی بِالْمَوْتِ كَهَيْئَةِ كَبْشٍ أَمْلَحَ فَيُنَادِيْ مُنَادٍ يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ! خُلُوْدٌ فَلاَ مَوْتَ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ : « وَ اَنْذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْحَسْرَةِ اِذْ قُضِيَ الْاَمْرُ وَ هُمْ فِيْ غَفْلَةٍ» وَهٰؤُلَاء فِيْ غَفْلَةٍ أَهْلُ الدُّنْيَا « وَ هُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ » ] [ بخاري، التفسیر، باب قولہ عز وجل: « و أنذرھم یوم الحسرۃ» : ۴۷۳۰ ] "Death will be brought in the form of a speckled ram, then a caller will call out: 'O people of Paradise!' So they will raise their heads and look. He will say: 'Do you recognize this?' They will say: 'Yes! This is death.' And all of them will have seen it. Then he will call out: 'O people of the Fire!' So they will raise their heads and look, he will say: 'Do you recognize this?' They will say: 'Yes! This is death.' And all of them will have seen it, then it will be slaughtered. Then he will say: 'O people of Paradise! (Now) eternity, no death, and O people of the Fire! (Now) eternity, no death.' Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: «وَ اَنْذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْحَسْرَةِ اِذْ قُضِيَ الْاَمْرُ وَ هُمْ فِيْ غَفْلَةٍ » [ مریم : ۳۹ ] 'And warn them of the Day of Regret when the matter will be decided, and they are in heedlessness.' That is, they are in complete heedlessness of the world and they do not believe." See also Surah Maryam (39).

{ وَ وَقٰىهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيْمِ:} Here is a question: The one who has entered Paradise, his being saved from Hell is self-evident, so what is the need to say that He will save them from the blazing Fire? The answer is that the true value of Paradise is fully realized when, it is also considered what would have been my condition if I had been in Hell.
