Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 48) ➊ { قُلْ اِنَّ رَبِّيْ يَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ : ’’قَذَفَ يَقْذِفُ‘‘} means to throw, it also comes in the sense of casting: {’’أَيْ يَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ فِيْ قُلُوْبِ أَصْفِيَاءِهِ ‘‘} meaning He casts the truth into the hearts of His chosen servants. When it has been established that this Prophet is neither insane, nor a seeker of the world, nor have you been able to prove any of his words or actions as falsehood, magic, or madness, then it is established that this is from Allah Almighty. Therefore, it is said: O Prophet! Say to those who deny monotheism, the messengership of the Prophets, and the Hereafter, that surely my Lord, through revelation, casts the truth into the hearts of His chosen servants. He has cast this truth into my heart through revelation, as He said: «يُلْقِي الرُّوْحَ مِنْ اَمْرِهٖ عَلٰى مَنْ يَّشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهٖ لِيُنْذِرَ يَوْمَ التَّلَاقِ » [ المؤمن : ۱۵ ] "He sends down the revelation by His command upon whom He wills of His servants, so that he may warn of the Day of Meeting." The second meaning of {’’ يَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ ‘‘} is {’’يَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَي الْبَاطِلِ‘‘}, that is, say: Surely my Lord hurls the truth against falsehood, so it crushes its head, and thus it suddenly vanishes, as He said: « بَلْ نَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَى الْبَاطِلِ فَيَدْمَغُهٗ فَاِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌ » [ الأنبیاء : ۱۸ ] "Rather, We hurl the truth against falsehood, and it crushes its head, so it suddenly vanishes." That is, by you calling this truth a lie, magic, or madness, nothing will be harmed; my Lord will hurl this truth against falsehood with such force that it will suddenly be obliterated. In this verse, a third point is instructed: that you should clearly say to the polytheists that you can neither prevail over the truth in argument nor in battle, because my Lord casts the truth into my heart, for He is the Knower of all unseen things. Now, the one who does not know the unseen, nor is he informed of any unseen matter from Allah Almighty, how will he dispute with the truth? Then, my Lord hurls the truth against falsehood and crushes its head, so how will the people of falsehood fight with the people of truth?

{ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوْبِ :} He is the Knower of all unseen things. From these unseen matters, He casts into the heart of whichever of His Prophets He wills, and He alone knows best which unseen matter should be conveyed to which Prophet. See Surah Al-Jinn (26 to 28).
