سُوْرَةُ يٰسٓ

Surah Yaseen (36) — Ayah 70

لِّيُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَيًّا وَيَحِقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ ﴿70﴾
That he or it (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم or the Qur’ân) may give warning to him who is living (a healthy minded - the believer), and that Word (charge) may be justified against the disbelievers (dead, as they reject the warnings).
لِّيُنذِرَ liyundhira To warn
مَن man (him) who
كَانَ kāna is
حَيًّۭا ḥayyan alive
وَيَحِقَّ wayaḥiqqa and may be proved true
ٱلْقَوْلُ l-qawlu the Word
عَلَى ʿalā against
ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ l-kāfirīna the disbelievers

70. 1. That is, whose heart is sound, accepts the truth and rejects falsehood.
70. 2. That is, the one who persists in disbelief, upon him the word of punishment is established. In لِیُنْذِرَ, the pronoun refers to the Quran.
