Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

31-1. According to most commentators, after the people of Nuh, the nation that Allah created and sent a messenger to was the people of 'Ad, because in most places, 'Ad is mentioned as the successors of the people of Nuh. According to some, this nation is Thamud, because later, in the mention of their destruction, it is said that a mighty cry seized them, and this punishment befell the people of Thamud. According to some, it is the people of Shu'ayb (AS), because their destruction also occurred through a cry.
