Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 71) {اَوَلَمْيَرَوْااَنَّاخَلَقْنَالَهُمْ …:} From here, the arguments for Tawheed and then the Hereafter are mentioned. {’’ اَنْعَامًا ‘‘ ’’نَعَمٌ‘‘} is the plural, meaning: Have they not seen that these animals, of which they have become owners, all of them We have created? Although the mention of Allah’s hands is found in other places in the Noble Qur’an and it is obligatory to believe in them and to consign their modality to Allah Almighty, here the scholars have explained the meaning of “with Our own hands” as: We have created them Ourselves, without any partner or intermediary. No one else has the slightest share in their creation. (Fath al-Bayan)
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
71. 1. This negates the association of others; We created them with Our own hands, no one else has any share in their creation. 71. 2. اَنْعَام is the plural of نَعَم. By this is meant cattle, that is, camels, cows, goats, and sheep, etc. 71. 3. That is, they use them as they wish; if We had placed wildness in them (as is found in some animals), then these cattle would run away from them and they would not be able to possess or own them.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
71. Do they not see that among the things We have made with Our own hands, We created for them cattle [64], of which they are now the owners?
[64] For example, cows, oxen, sheep, goats, camels, horses, donkeys—these are all different species of animals. And all have been created by Allah for the benefit of mankind; their progeny also continues through a drop of fluid just as that of humans. And the drop of fluid is produced from lifeless substances. These things were not owned by humans. Allah gave humans intellect. Through intellect, man subdued the cattle. Then, seeing benefits for himself in them, he began to keep them in his homes and started buying and selling them among themselves and became their owners.
