Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

In (Ayah 39){لَاُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِي الْاَرْضِ : }, "I will adorn for them in the earth," what is it? From the context of the verse, the meaning is that I will make desires of the self and disobedience to Allah appear attractive and appealing to them in the earth, just as in the heavens I made the eating of the forbidden plant appear attractive to them and led them astray. He said: «{ وَ عَصٰۤى اٰدَمُ رَبَّهٗ فَغَوٰى [ طہٰ : ۱۲۱ ] Another meaning is that I will show them all the adornment only in the earth, as if everything is here, so that they neither pay attention to the Hereafter nor believe in it. Thus, in this way, I will lead them all astray, as He said: «{ وَ لٰكِنَّهٗۤ اَخْلَدَ اِلَى الْاَرْضِ وَ اتَّبَعَ هَوٰىهُ فَمَثَلُهٗ كَمَثَلِ الْكَلْبِ [ الأعراف : ۱۷۶ ] "But he clung to the earth and followed his desires, so his example is like that of a dog."

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The exegesis of this verse has been done along with the previous verse.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

He said: "My Lord! Since You have led me astray (because of Adam), I will surely make (their sins) [20.1] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all,

[20۔1] Iblis placed the blame for his misguidance upon Allah, and the reason he gave for this can be seen in Surah Al-A'raf, verse number 16, footnote number 14.

The Methods by Which Iblis Misleads Mankind:

Iblis said that he would make the life of this world, its pleasures, and its temporary benefits so attractive to people that they would become so absorbed in the interests of this world that they would completely forget about the caliphate, its responsibilities, and the reckoning of the Hereafter. They would either entirely forget You, or even if they remembered You, they would continue to disobey You and associate others with Your divinity. Only those people will be saved from my trap who are strong, steadfast, and firm in their faith.
