حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَنْعُمَ، عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ نُسَيٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَرَأَ " هَلْ تَسْتَطِيعُ رَبَّكَ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ رِشْدِينَ ، وَلَيْسَ إِسْنَادُهُ بِالْقَوِيِّ ، وَرِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، وَالْأَفْرِيقِيُّ يُضَعَّفَانِ فِي الْحَدِيثِ .
´Narrated Mu'adh bin Jabal:` "The Prophet (ﷺ) would recite: 'Hal Tastati'u Rabbak'"

Explanation:
1:
The well-known recitation is: ﴿هَلْ يَسْتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ﴾, that is, with the ya’ (yā’ taḥtāniyyah) and the ra’ (rā’) having a ḍammah on top.
The complete verse is as follows: ﴿هَلْ يَسْتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ أَن يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةً مِّنَ السَّمَاء﴾ (al-Ma’idah: 112), and the recitation mentioned in this hadith is that of Kisā’ī.
The meaning will be: “Do you have the ability to ask your Lord?”

(In the chain of narration, ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Ziyād al-Ifriqī and Rushdīn ibn Sa‘d are weak narrators.)
