باب كَيْفَ كَانَ كِمَامُ الصَّحَابَةِChapter: How Were the Sleeves of the Companions?

حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمْرَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَهُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُسْرٍ، قَال : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا كَبْشَةَ الْأَنْمَارِيَّ يَقُولُ : " كَانَتْ كِمَامُ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بُطْحًا " قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ مُنْكَرٌ ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُسْرٍ بَصْرِيٌّ هُوَ ضَعِيفٌ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْحَدِيثِ ضَعَّفَهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَبُطْحٌ يَعْنِي وَاسِعَةً .
Abu Kabsha Anmari (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the sleeves of the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were wide.
© Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is munkar (denounced),
2- Abdullah bin Busr was a resident of Basrah, and according to the scholars of hadith, he is weak; Yahya bin Sa'id and others have declared him weak,
3- «بطح» refers to something wide and spacious.
