Hadith 3895
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ حَرِيزَ بْنَ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَقْتُلُ الرَّجُلَ وَيُجْهِزُ عَلَيْهِ آخَرُ، قَالَ: «السَّلَبُ لِلَّذِي قَتَلَهُ إِذَا جَرَحَهُ، وَلَيْسَ لِلَّذِي أَجْهَزَ عَلَيْهِ شَيْءٍ، كَذَلِكَ قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَلَبِ أَبِي جَهْلٍ»
Imam Harir bin Uthman (may Allah have mercy on him) says: "If a person wounds the enemy and another comes and kills him, then the spoils (salb) will belong to the one who wounded first, and the second will get nothing. This is the decision that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave regarding the spoils of Abu Jahl."
Hadith 3896
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ الْغَازِ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، قَالَ: «إِذَا قَتَلَ الرَّجُلُ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْعَدُوِّ، وَأَجْهَزَ عَلَيْهِ غَيْرُهُ، فَسَلَبُهُ لِمَنْ قَتَلَهُ أَوْ عَقَرَهُ»
Imam Mak'hool (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If a person kills or wounds the enemy and another completes the attack on him, then the spoils will belong to the one who struck first."
