Hadith 1961
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَمُطَرِّفٌ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، وَيُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، وَحَجَّاجٌ، وَعَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِيْ رَبَاْح «أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا فِي الْحُرِّ إِذَا تَزَوَّجَ أَمَةً ثُمَّ أَتَى فَاحِشَةً أَنَّهُ يُجْلَدُ وَلَا يُرْجَمُ»
Ibrahim, Hasan, Sha'bi, and 'Ata' (may Allah have mercy on them) said: "If a free man marries a slave woman and then commits adultery, he will be flogged, not stoned."
Hadith 1962
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا حَجَّاجٌ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّهُ «لَا تُحْصِنُ الْأَمَةُ الْحُرَّ، وَلَا تُحْصِنُ الْحُرَّةُ الْعَبْدَ وَلَا تُحْصِنُ الْمُسْلِمَ الْيَهُودِيَّةُ وَلَا النَّصْرَانِيَّةُ، وَإِنْ قَذَفَ وَاحِدَةً مِنْهُنَّ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ زَوْجِهَا لِعَانٌ»
Hazrat Amr bin Shu'aib (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather, that: "A slave woman does not make a free man, nor a free woman a slave man, nor a Muslim woman a Jewish or Christian woman (muhsan). If any of them is accused of adultery, there will be no li'an (mutual cursing) between them."
Hadith 1963
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا سُفْيَانُ، أنا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَرُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ: " أَتَدْرُونَ كَمْ يَنْكِحُ الْعَبْدُ؟ فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: أَنَا، قَالَ: كَمْ؟ قَالَ: اثْنَيْنِ "
Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said from the pulpit: "Do you know how many marriages a slave can contract?" A man stood up and said: "I know." Sayyiduna Umar asked: "How many?" He said: "Two."
