بَابُ الرَّجُلِ يُزَوِّجُ ابْنَهُ وَهُوَ صَغِيرٌ

Hadith 1950
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ: «إِذَا زَوَّجَ الرَّجُلُ ابْنَهُ وَهُوَ صَغِيرٌ فَالصَّدَاقُ عَلَى الِابْنِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَضْمَنَهُ الْأَبُ» قَالَ هُشَيْمٌ: وَهُوَ الْقَوْلُ "
Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "When a father marries off his minor son, the dowry (mahr) is obligatory upon the son, unless the father takes responsibility for it." Hushaym says: This is the reliable opinion.
Hadith 1951
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا مُجَالِدٌ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: «هُوَ عَلَى الْأَبِ»
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The dowry is obligatory upon the father."
Hadith 1952
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ «أَنَّهُ زَوَّجَ ابْنَةَ أَخِيهِ ابْنَ أَخِيهِ وَهُمَا صَغِيرَانِ»
Hazrat Hisham bin Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that he married his brother's daughter to his brother's son, even though both were minors.
