قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قَالَ فَخُذْ أَرْبَعَةً مِنَ الطَّيْرِ فَصُرْهُنَّ إِلَيْكَ ثُمَّ اجْعَلْ عَلَى كُلِّ جَبَلٍ مِنْهُنَّ جُزْءًا ثُمَّ ادْعُهُنَّ يَأْتِينَكَ سَعْيًا وَاعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ}
His saying, Exalted is He: {He said, "Take four birds and commit them to yourself. Then [after slaughtering them] put on each hill a portion of them; then call them—they will come [flying] to you in haste. And know that Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise."}

Hadith 443
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ - فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { فَخُذْ أَرْبَعَةً مِنَ الطَّيْرِ فَصُرْهُنَّ إِلَيْكَ } - قَالَ: قَطِّعْ أَجْنِحَتَهُنَّ أَرْبَاعًا، رُبُعًا هَاهُنَا، وَرُبُعًا هَاهُنَا فِي أَرْبَاعِ الْأَرْضِ، { ثُمَّ ادْعُهُنَّ يَأْتِينَكَ سَعْيًا } قَالَ: هَذَا مَثَلٌ، كَذَلِكَ يُحْيِي اللهُ الْمَوْتَى مِثْلَ هَذَا .
Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said regarding the verse: ﴿فَخُذْ أَرْبَعَةً مِنَ الطَّيْرِ فَصُرْهُنَّ إِلَيْكَ﴾: Cut their wings into four parts, place one part here, another there, and put them in all four directions. Then Allah said: ﴿ثُمَّ ادْعُهُنَّ يَأْتِينَكَ سَعْيًا﴾. This is an example; in the same way, Allah will give life to the dead.
Hadith 444
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ - فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { فَصُرْهُنَّ إِلَيْكَ } - قَالَ: قَطِّعْهُنَّ .
