الْآيَاتُ (46 - 50) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَبَيْنَهُمَا حِجَابٌ وَعَلَى الأَعْرَافِ رِجَالٌ يَعْرِفُونَ كُلا بِسِيمَاهُمْ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ}Verses (46 - 50) His saying, Exalted is He: {And between them will be a partition, and on the elevations are men who recognize all by their mark} to His saying: {And they used to reject Our verses}
Hadith 954

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ شِبْلٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُزْنِيِّ (1)، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَصْحَابِ الْأَعْرَافِ فَقَالَ: هَمْ قَوْمٌ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِمَعْصِيَةِ آبَائِهِمْ، فَمَنَعَهُمْ دُخُولَ الْجَنَّةِ مَعْصِيَةُ آبَائِهِمْ، وَمَنَعَهُمْ دُخُولَ النَّارِ قَتْلُهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ .
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the people of A'raf, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: They are those who were killed in the way of Allah, but were prevented from entering Paradise because of their disobedience to their fathers, and were prevented from entering Hell because they were killed in the way of Allah.
