بَابُ مَا تَجْتَنِبُهُ الْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا فِي عِدَّتِهَاChapter on what a widow must avoid during her waiting period
Hadith 3316

أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا: «لَا تَكْتَحِلُ بِكُحْلِ زِينَةٍ إِلَّا بِصَبِرٍ أَوْ ذَرُورٍ، وَلَا تَبِيتُ عَنْ بَيْتِهَا، وَلَا تَخْرُجُ فِي حَقِّ عِيَادَةٍ أَوْ ذِي قَرَابَةٍ وَالْمُطَلَّقَةُ ثَلَاثًا مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ»
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "A widow should not apply decorative kohl, she may only use sabr or zarur, and she should not leave the house except out of necessity."
