أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ، ثنا هُشَيْمٌ، نا عُبَيْدَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ: «يُؤَجَّلُ سَنَةً مِنْ يَوْمِ يُرْفَعُ إِلَى السُّلْطَانِ فَإِنْ وَصَلَ إِلَيْهَا، وَإِلَّا فَرَّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا»
Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) used to say that if there is no intercourse, the matter should be brought before the ruler and a period of one year should be given; if it still does not happen, then separation should be carried out.
