بَابُ الرَّجُلِ يُوصِي لِلرَّجُلِ فَيَمُوتُ الْمُوصَى لَهُChapter: A man bequeaths to another man, but the legatee dies
Hadith 1544

سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا مَنْصُورٌ، وَيُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، فِي الرَّجُلِ يُوصِي لِلرَّجُلِ بِالْوَصِيَّةِ فَيَمُوتُ الْمُوصَى لَهُ قَبْلَ الْمُوصِي , قَالَ: " الْوَصِيَّةُ لِوَلَدِ الْمُوصَى لَهُ. قَالَ سَعِيدٌ: لَمْ يَصْنَعْ شَيْئًا
Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If a person makes a bequest for someone, and that person dies before the one making the bequest, then the bequest goes to the children of the deceased." But Sa'id (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Nothing happens in this way."
