سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ فِي رَجُلٍ ادَّعَى عَلَى مَيِّتٍ أَلْفَ دِرْهَمٍ تَرَكَ الْمَيِّتُ ابْنَيْنِ لَهُ، وَتَرَكَ أَلْفَيْ دِرْهَمٍ، فَأَقَرَّ أَحَدُهُمَا وَأَبَى الْآخَرُ قَالَ: «يُعْطِي الَّذِي أَقَرَّ خَمْسَمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ»
Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If someone claims a debt of one thousand dirhams against a deceased person, and the deceased left two sons and two thousand dirhams in wealth, and one of them acknowledges (the debt) while the other denies it, then the one who acknowledged it will be liable for five hundred dirhams."
