بَابُ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ عَلَى الْمِيرَاثِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُقْسَمَChapter on one who accepts Islam before the inheritance is distributed
Hadith 1379

سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، قَالَ: نا الْأَحْوَصُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُسْلِمُ عَلَى يَدَيِ الرَّجُلِ قَالَ: «هُوَ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِهِ يَرِثُهُ وَيَعْقِلُ عَلَيْهِ»
It was asked from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) that if a person accepts Islam at the hand of someone, he (ﷺ) said: "He is the most entitled to him, he will be his heir, and he will pay his blood money."
