Sayyiduna Zaid bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked: "What do you say about a lost camel?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became angry, his cheeks turned red, and he said: "What do you have to do with it! Its feet and its stomach are with it; it will reach water on its own and eat leaves from the trees until its owner comes to it." The man asked: "Then what do you say about a lost goat?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You should take it, for either it will come to you, or to one of your brothers, or else a wolf will get it."
