نَا نَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ ، نَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ الْقَطَّانُ ، نَا عُمَرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، نَا زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ مَرْوَانَ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ، قَالَ : أَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ ، " أَنَّهُ جَعَلَ الْجَدَّ أَبًا " .
Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "I bear witness regarding Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) that he gave the grandfather the status of the father."
