بَابُ حُكْمِ الْمَاءِ إِذَا لَاقَتْهُ النَّجَاسَةُRuling on Water When It Comes in Contact with Impurity

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، وَبُرْهَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الدَّيْنَوَرِيُّ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَيْرُ بْنُ مِرْدَاسٍ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ، نا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْعُمَرِيُّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا بَلَغَ الْمَاءُ أَرْبَعِينَ قُلَّةً فَإِنَّهُ لا يَحْمِلُ الْخَبَثَ " . كَذَا رَوَاهُ الْقَاسِمُ الْعُمَرِيُّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ ، وَوُهِمَ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ ، وَكَانَ ضَعِيفًا كَثِيرَ الْخَطَأِ ، وَخَالَفَهُ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، وَسُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، وَمَعْمَرُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ . رَوَوْهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو مَوْقُوفًا . وَرَوَاهُ أَيُّوبُ السَّخْتِيَانِيُّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ مِنْ قَوْلِهِ " لَمْ يُجَاوِزْهُ ".
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When water reaches the limit of forty qullahs, it does not become impure." This narration is also transmitted from Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) with another chain, however, there is an error in its chain. Another narrator has transmitted this narration with a different chain from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) as a "mawquf" narration. The same narration is also transmitted with another chain from Ibn al-Munkadir as his own statement, in which are the words: "It should not be more than this."
