ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الزَّيَّاتِ ، نَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ . ح وَنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ النُّعْمَانِيُّ ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ ، نَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَهُمْ يُسْلِمُونَ فِي الثِّمَارِ ، فَقَالَ : " أَسْلَمُوا فِي الثِّمَارِ فِي كَيْلٍ مَعْلُومٍ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مَعْلُومٍ " ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ : السَّنَتَيْنِ وَالثَّلاثِ ، فَقَالَ : سَلِّفُوا فِي كَيْلٍ مَعْلُومٍ وَوَزْنٍ مَعْلُومٍ ".
Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Madinah, people used to conduct Salam transactions in fruits. So he said: "Conduct Salam transactions in fruits for a specified quantity and a determined period." The narrator named Ibn Mahdi has transmitted these words: People used to conduct Salam transactions for two or three years, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Conduct Salam transactions for a specified measure and weight."
