Salamah bin Wahram narrates: I heard Tawus saying: Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person goes to relieve himself, he should respect the Qiblah of Allah Almighty and neither face towards it nor turn his back to it. Then he should purify himself with three stones, or with three pieces of wood, or with three handfuls of earth, and then recite this: All praise is due to Allah Almighty who removed from within me that which could have harmed me and left within me that which is beneficial for me."
