أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ، يَقُولُ: "لَيْسَ هَدِيَّةٌ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ كَلِمَةِ حِكْمَةٍ، تُهْدِيهَا لِأَخِيكَ".
Shurahbil bin Sharik heard Abu Abdur Rahman Hubli saying: There is no gift better that you give to your brother than the gift of a word of wisdom.
