باب في زَوْجٍ وَأَبَوَيْنِ وَامْرَأَةٍ وَأَبَوَيْنِ:Chapter on a husband, two parents, a wife, and two parents
Hadith 2899
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنْبَأَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ: كَانَ عُمَرُ إِذَا سَلَكَ بِنَا طَرِيقًا وَجَدْنَاهُ سَهْلًا، وَإِنَّهُ قَالَ فِي زَوْجٍ وَأَبَوَيْنِ: "لِلزَّوْجِ النِّصْفُ، وَلِلْأُمِّ ثُلُثُ مَا بَقِيَ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was with us on any path, we found it easy. He said regarding the share of the husband and the parents that the husband will get half and the mother will get one third of the remaining wealth.
