Hadith 2534

Sayyiduna Abu Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The last thing that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said was: "Expel the Jews from Hijaz and the people of Najran from the Arabian Peninsula."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2533)

The Jews are a people who altered their scriptures, killed the prophets, mocked the divine laws, and committed acts of betrayal and breach of trust.

Therefore, it was commanded to avoid this people, keep away from them, and expel them from the Arabian Peninsula.

In the Noble Qur’an, Allah Almighty has clearly pointed out their misdeeds in explicit words.

The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was not able to expel them from the Arabian Peninsula during his blessed lifetime, but Sayyiduna Umar (radi Allahu anhu) did expel them.
