It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sakhr al-Ghamidi (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "O Allah! Bless my Ummah in their early mornings." And whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would send out a military detachment, he would send it in the early morning.
The narrator said: And this person (the narrator of the hadith, Sayyiduna Sakhr, may Allah be pleased with him) was a trader, and he would send his servants (for trade) in the early morning, because of which there was great blessing in his wealth and his riches increased greatly.

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2471)
With this chapter, Imam Darimi rahimahullah has mentioned going out for expeditions (sariyyah) and battles (ghazawat).
Some commentators of hadith have taken "Kitab al-Siyar" to mean biography (seerah), while others have taken "al-Siyar" to mean going out for travel. And Allah knows best what is correct.
In this book, there are some chapters related to travel, but most are connected to fighting, warfare, and the distribution of spoils (maghanim).
In this hadith, "awwal al-nahar" refers to the time of morning, which is after the Fajr prayer. This time has great virtue; there is also a supplication from the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and there is encouragement to rise early in the morning, complete the prayers and remembrances, and then engage in one’s work and livelihood.
Nowadays, sleeping until late in the day, being neglectful of prayer, has become a cause of lack of blessing. Those who adhere to the commands of the Shariah should observe how, despite the apparent scarcity in their sustenance, Allah ta‘ala grants them such blessing.
May Allah ta‘ala make all of us practitioners of the Shariah. Ameen.
