Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2306)
From this hadith, it is understood that for a woman to seek divorce (talaq) without valid reason is a sin, and such a woman will be forbidden even from smelling the fragrance of Paradise.
Similarly, it is also prohibited for a man to issue divorce (talaq) without necessity; divorce is only permissible when there remains no way for reconciliation and harmony. And the hadith of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam: «أَبْغَضُالْحَلَالِعِنْدَاللّٰهِالطَّلَاقُ.» should also be kept in view.
