Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 1822)

There is a narration in Musnad Ahmad from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas radi Allahu anhuma: Hasten to perform Hajj, for none of you knows what may befall him. And in Ibn Majah, in the aforementioned hadith from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas radi Allahu anhuma, there is this addition: A man sometimes falls ill, sometimes something is lost, and sometimes a need arises, and a person becomes preoccupied. Therefore, one should hasten to perform Hajj when able, because Hajj is an important pillar of Islam, and truly fortunate is the one who completes all the pillars of Islam. The command of Allah is: «﴿وَلِلّٰهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا﴾ [آل عمران : 97]» Translation: "Allah has made Hajj obligatory upon those who are able to find a way to it."

The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: "There is no reward for an accepted Hajj (Hajj Mabrur) except Paradise."

And in another authentic hadith: Whoever performs Hajj correctly becomes as free from sins as the day his mother gave birth to him, that is, pure and innocent.
