Hadith 1496

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out after sunrise and saw people praying, so he said: "The time for the prayer of the oft-returning (Salat al-Awwabeen) is when the feet of the young camels begin to burn (from the heat of the ground)."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 1495)

Salat al-Awwabeen is the same as the Duha prayer (forenoon prayer), which is best performed when the day has advanced, although it is permissible from sunrise until the sun reaches its zenith. However, the preferred time is when the sand becomes hot due to the sun and the feet of young camels begin to burn (as stated by the scholar, rahimahullah). "Awwabeen" is the plural of "Awwab," which means obedient and submissive.
