Ibn Abi Laila says: No one informed us except Sayyida Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Duha prayer. Thus, she (Sayyida Umm Hani, may Allah be pleased with her) mentioned that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ghusl in her house, then prayed eight rak‘ahs, and said that she had never seen the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pray such a light prayer. However, even in this prayer, the bowing and prostration of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) were performed with complete calmness and excellence.
