Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), said: When the muezzin would become silent after the call to the Fajr prayer and true dawn had appeared, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would offer two light rak‘ahs before the congregation stood for prayer.
