Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Shibl Ansari رضي الله عنه said: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم forbade spreading the arms (in prostration) like a beast of prey, pecking like a crow (i.e., performing prostration quickly), and designating a specific spot in the mosque as a camel designates its place.

Brief Explanation
(In Explanation of Hadiths 1358 to 1360)
In both of these hadiths, it is prohibited to spread the hands and arms on the ground during prostration (sajdah), and this act has been described as a characteristic of dogs and wild beasts, and it is a sign of laziness and indolence.
Similarly, performing prostration hastily has been likened to pecking like animals, and thus moderation in prostration has been commanded. Furthermore, it is prohibited to pray every day in the same spot, and the scholars (ulama) have considered these actions to be disliked (makruh).
Allah Ta'ala has created man as honored and dignified, therefore he has been forbidden from adopting the traits of animals and from sitting and rising in their manner.
