أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الْحَنَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "لَمْ يَكُنْ يَقُومُ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ إِلَّا رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ مَدًّا".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood for prayer, he would raise his hands.
