(169) بَابُ تَرْكِ الْقُنُوتِ عِنْدَ زَوَالِ الْحَادِثَةِ الَّتِي لَهَا يَقْنُتُ،Chapter 169: Leaving Qunoot when the incident for which it was performed ends
Hadith Q621
وَالدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا تَرَكَ الْقُنُوتَ بَعْدَ شَهْرٍ لِزَوَالِ تِلْكَ الْحَادِثَةِ الَّتِي كَانَ لَهَا يَقْنُتُ، لَا نَسْخًا لِلْقُنُوتِ، وَلَا كَمَا تَوَهَّمَ مَنْ قَالَ إِنَّهُ لَا يَقْنُتُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ شَهْرٍ.
And the explanation of the evidence that the Prophet ﷺ stopped performing Qunoot after one month when the calamity for which he was performing Qunoot had ended. He did not stop due to the abrogation of Qunoot, nor because of the opinion held by some people that performing Qunoot for more than one month is not permissible.
