(407) بَابُ حَجِّ الرَّجُلِ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ الَّتِي لَا تَسْتَطِيعُ الْحَجَّ مِنَ الْكِبَرِA man performing Hajj on behalf of a woman unable to do so due to old age.
Hadith Q3037
بِمِثْلِ اللَّفْظَةِ الَّتِي ذَكَرْتُ أَنَّهَا مُجْمَلَةٌ غَيْرُ مُفَسَّرَةٍ
The wording of the hadith in this regard is general, not detailed (that is, the hadith mentions performing Hajj on behalf of an old man, but does not mention a woman; however, Hajj can be performed on behalf of both men and women).
