جماع أبواب سترة المصليChapters on the Sutrah for the Praying Person
Hadith 827
أنا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ ، نَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الرُّخَامِيُّ ، نَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ ، نَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، وَالزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْخِرِّيتِ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يُصَلِّي فَمَرَّتْ شَاةٌ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَسَاعَاهَا إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ حَتَّى أَلْزَقَ بَطْنُهُ بِالْقِبْلَةِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was performing prayer when a goat passed in front of him. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drove it towards the Qiblah until he pressed his stomach against the Qiblah (wall or sutrah), so that the goat could not pass.
