(239) بَابُ حَذْفِ السَّلَامِ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ.239 Chapter: Omitting the Salam in Prayer.
Hadith 734
نا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ قُرَّةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " حَذْفُ السَّلامِ سُنَّةٌ "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is Sunnah to keep the greeting of Salam brief."
