Hadith 3015

Ibn Jurayj says that I asked Imam Ata: “Did you hear Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) saying: ‘Indeed, you have been commanded to perform Tawaf, and you have not been commanded to enter the Sacred House (Baytullah)?’” He replied, Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) did not prohibit entering the Sacred House, but I have heard him say this. Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with them both) informed me that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the Sacred House, then when he came out, he performed two rak‘ahs in front of the Sacred House and said: “This is the Qiblah.”
