Hazrat Abu Tufail narrates that I asked Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that your people believe that performing raml (brisk walking) in three circuits of the Tawaf of the Ka'bah and walking at a normal pace in four circuits is Sunnah. He replied that they have spoken the truth, but part of what they say is incorrect. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Makkah Mukarramah, and when the people of Makkah heard of his arrival, they said, "Look, Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companions will not even be able to perform Tawaf of the Ka'bah due to weakness." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Show them the strength and power that they dislike."
