Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was granted permission to migrate, he came to the house of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and sought permission to enter. He was granted permission, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The fact is that I have been granted permission to migrate." Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), may my father be sacrificed for you, I also wish to go with you." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes (you may come)." Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: So I quickly prepared provisions for both of them and put the travel food in a leather bag. Then Lady Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) tore her waistband and took a piece from it, and tied the mouth of the bag with it. Because of this, she was given the title "Dhat an-Nitaq" (the woman with the waistband).
