Hadith 1867
نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُسْلِمٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، قَالَ : أَرْسَلَنِي نَافِعُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ إِلَى السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ أَسْأَلُهُ ، فَسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ : نَعَمْ ، صَلَّيْتُ الْجُمُعَةَ فِي الْمَقْصُورَةِ مَعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمْتُ ، قُمْتُ أُصَلِّي ، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيَّ فَأَتَيْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ لِي : " إِذَا صَلَّيْتَ الْجُمُعَةَ ، فَلا تَصِلْهَا بِصَلاةٍ إِلا أَنْ تَخْرُجَ ، أَوْ تَتَكَلَّمَ ؛ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِذَلِكَ "
Umar bin Ata reports that Nafi’ bin Jubair sent me to Sā’ib bin Yazid to ask him a question. So I asked him the question, and he replied: Yes, I performed the Friday prayer with Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) in the mihrab. Then, when I finished the prayer with salam, I stood up and began (nafl) prayer. So he sent a man to call me. I went to him, and he said to me: When you have performed the Friday prayer, do not join any other prayer with the Friday prayer before leaving from there or before speaking, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded this.
