Ibrahim al-Taymi narrates that my respected father stopped praying with us, so I asked him, "Why do you not pray with us?" He replied, "Indeed, you pray a very light (short) prayer (that is why I do not pray with you)." I said, "What about the saying of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) that surely among you are the weak, the elderly, and those in need—(therefore, lead a light prayer)?" He replied, "I heard Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate this hadith." Then he led us in a prayer that was three times longer than your prayer.
