Sayyiduna Abu Razin (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), saying: We slaughter our animal, then we eat from it and feed whoever comes to us from it. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no harm in it.
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) These are the sacrifices that people used to perform in the time of ignorance, and the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) declared them permissible, except for Fara’ and ‘Atirah, which are prohibited in Islam.
