أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْعَطَّارُ بِالْبَصْرَةِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ جَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ عِنْدِي جَارِيَةً وَأَنَا أَعْزِلُ عَنْهَا ، فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّهُ سَيَأْتِيهَا مَا قُدِّرَ لَهَا " ، ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّهَا قَدْ حَمَلَتْ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا قَدَّرَ اللَّهُ نَسَمَةً تَخْرُجُ إِلا هِيَ كَائِنَةٌ " ، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لإِبْرَاهِيمَ ، فَقَالَ : كَانَ يُقَالُ : لَوْ أَنَّ النُّطْفَةَ الَّتِي قُدِّرَ مِنْهَا الْوَلَدُ وُضِعَتْ عَلَى صَخْرَةٍ لأَخْرَجَتْ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: A man from among the Ansar came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: I have a slave girl with whom I practice coitus interruptus (‘azl). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Soon that which is written in her destiny will reach her. After that, the man again came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and informed him: That slave girl has become pregnant. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whatever soul Allah Almighty has decreed to be born, it will surely be born. The narrator says: I mentioned this narration to Ibrahim, so he said: It is said that if it is written in the destiny of a drop of semen that a child is to be born from it, then even if it is placed on a stone, the child will be born from it.
